Cheltenham Muscat Celebrates Academic Success in A Level Results and GCSE Achievements for 2025/2026
Cheltenham Muscat is delighted to announce the achievements of its students in the 2025/2026 academic year, as the school celebrates the results of its first-ever A Level cohort alongside another year of successful GCSE results.
Cheltenham Muscat is celebrating an important milestone following the publication of the school’s first A Level results. Its inaugural graduating cohort achieved a 100% pass rate, with over 90% of students successfully gaining access to their first-choice university.
The school’s highest-achieving student, Rima, secured an exceptional A*, A*, A, gaining her a full scholarship to study at the London School of Economics. This achievement reflects both her remarkable commitment and the high academic standards established by Cheltenham Muscat’s Sixth Form. Students also gained entrance to universities in Spain, The Netherlands, Malaysia and the Czech Republic, supported by the school’s expert careers guidance programme.
Across the cohort, students are celebrating results that have opened the door to exciting higher education opportunities with 80% of Omani students gaining scholarships to the university of their choosing, including Sultan Qaboos University, German University of Technology and the College of Banking and Financial Studies. These achievements represent the culmination of sustained hard work from the students, supported by the expertise, encouragement and personalised guidance of their teachers.
Mr. Richard Snape, Principal of Cheltenham Muscat commented: “I am incredibly proud of our first graduating cohort. Their remarkable efforts, coupled with the expert guidance of our teachers, have combined to produce excellent results. These outcomes will support our students as they progress to the higher education pathways of their choice and begin what I have no doubt will be hugely successful careers.”
The school also celebrated another impressive set of GCSE results with their largest cohort of students in the school’s history. 70% of students achieved well above expectations and more than 40% of grades were secured at the highest grades of 9–7, compared with a UK average of 22%. Exceptional performance was seen across the sciences, with more than 80% of top-tier grades awarded in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. These results reflect both the high levels of academic achievement and strong progress being made by Cheltenham Muscat students, alongside their hard work, ambition and commitment throughout their GCSE studies.
