Cheltenham Muscat Hosts Second LEGO Event, Introducing Oman’s First Family-Focused Tournament
Cheltenham Muscat recently hosted its second LEGO event, introducing Oman’s first family-focused LEGO Tournament following the success of its previous LEGO Expo. The event welcomed 20 parent-child teams for an interactive building challenge, bringing families together for a day of creativity, friendly competition and hands-on learning.
Open to families across Muscat, including Cheltenham Muscat students and their families, the tournament introduced a new competitive format, moving beyond the exhibition and showcase approach of the previous edition. Each team consisted of one parent and one child, competing in a timed LEGO building challenge. Participants were evaluated on speed and accuracy, putting their concentration, communication and problem-solving skills to the test.
Among the highlights of the tournament was the recognition of the winning team, 67 Polish Team, consisting of Aleksander Woznicki and his father, Lukasz Woznicki, who took first place in the family-focused LEGO building challenge.
Mr Richard Snape, Principal of Cheltenham Muscat, said: “Following the success of our previous LEGO Expo, we were pleased to introduce a new format that brought parents and children together as a team. It was wonderful to see families embracing the challenge and enjoying the experience. At Cheltenham Muscat, we value opportunities that make learning engaging and extend it beyond the classroom.”
The tournament was followed by a Family Fun Fair, featuring games, activities and entertainment for participants, families and visitors which provided an opportunity for the wider community to come together and enjoy the occasion beyond the competition.
Initiated and organised by Future Education and hosted at Cheltenham Muscat, the event was supported by Juventus Oman, Academy Muscat, Rubeat Sound and Event Boutique, with each partner contributing services and experiences to the day’s activities.
Through events such as the LEGO Tournament, Cheltenham Muscat continues to bring students, parents and the wider Muscat community together, creating opportunities for families to connect, share experiences and enjoy activities that combine learning with fun.
