Cheltenham Muscat has recruited an outstanding team of school leaders and teachers to be the driving force for the school’s success. Our staff are committed to the Cheltenham ethos, high levels of achievement and the well-being and care of every Cheltenham Muscat pupil.
All our teachers have UK recognised teaching qualifications and significant experience in their respected subject areas. These teachers are complemented by a team of specially qualified and experienced Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies teachers.
A comprehensive induction process will ensure that all staff are ready from the very first day they start to teach at the school, and ongoing professional development ensures that Cheltenham Muscat staff are able to deliver the very best possible education for each child.
Executive Leadership Team
Oona Carlin
Executive Principal
Oona Carlin is the Director of Education for Edureach. Oona has a wide and varied Experience in Education over the past 28 years. Oona’s most recent position was Principal of King’s College Doha, one of the schools in our group. Oona spent three years in Doha and successfully led the school through the pandemic, undoubtedly the most challenging period ever in education. During this time and despite these challenges, the school’s reputation for being caring, child-centred and focused on providing every pupil with an excellent all-round education went from strength to strength. Oona’s outstanding leadership resulted in King’s College Doha achieving the highest possible Qatar National School Accreditation award in June 2022. The school was judged to be ‘highly effective’ overall and in every area and is therefore rated as one of the top schools in Qatar.
Prior to this, Oona held leadership positions at prominent UK independent schools, including six years as Head of Ipswich High School and six years as Deputy Head at Putney High School. Oona has also gained international experience, working in Colombia at The English School Bogota. As a Biochemistry graduate from Imperial College, London; Oona started her career as a science teacher and relishes the opportunity to engage personally with children, parents, and teachers.
