Academy Muscat Swimming, powered by Enrich ME, provides a complete swimming pathway for Cheltenham Muscat students and the wider Muscat community.
From building water confidence and learning essential swimming skills to advanced squad training and performance coaching, our programme supports every swimmer to develop, progress and enjoy their time in the water.
Our vision is to be the first-choice swimming academy for learn-to-swim and performance swimmers in Muscat.
A Complete Swimming Pathway
Academy Muscat Swimming offers a clear and structured pathway that allows swimmers to progress at a pace appropriate to their age, ability and individual goals.
Learn to Swim
Our Learn to Swim programme provides structured, progressive lessons for swimmers of different ages and abilities.
Following the Swim England Learn to Swim framework, lessons focus on:
- Water confidence and safety
- Core aquatic skills
- Correct swimming technique
- Clear and consistent progression
- Building confidence, independence and enjoyment in the water
The programme is available to Cheltenham Muscat students and children from across the wider Muscat community.
Swim England’s Learn to Swim Programme is a leading swimming syllabus designed to deliver safe, inclusive and effective lessons through clearly defined stages. Each swimmer’s progress is carefully monitored, helping families understand their development and the next stage of their swimming journey.
Development and Performance Squads
Swimmers who have developed the required skills, technique and commitment can progress into our Development and Performance Squads.
Squad training is designed to help swimmers improve their:
- Stroke technique and efficiency
- Starts, turns and race skills
- Strength, stamina and fitness
- Training discipline and confidence
- Understanding of competitive swimming
- Preparation for swimming galas and competitions
Our squad pathway supports swimmers at different performance levels, from those experiencing structured squad training for the first time to swimmers working towards high-level competition.
Squad places are subject to an assessment by the Academy Muscat Swimming coaching team to ensure each swimmer joins the most appropriate training group.
Led by Mike Price
Academy Muscat Swimming is led by Cheltenham Muscat’s in-house swimming expert, Mike Price.
Mike has more than 20 years of swimming coaching experience and has worked with swimmers from regional through to international level. Before joining Cheltenham Muscat, he held senior aquatics and coaching positions in the United Kingdom and internationally.
Throughout his career, Mike has developed swimming programmes, led coaching teams and supported swimmers across Learn to Swim, development and competitive performance pathways.
Mike and his coaching team are responsible for both the Cheltenham Muscat swimming curriculum and the Academy Muscat Swimming programme. This joined-up approach provides Cheltenham students with consistency between their curriculum swimming lessons, after-school training and performance development.

Academy Muscat Swimming is powered by Enrich ME, part of the Cognita family.
The Enrich ME UAE aquatics team provides operational support, specialist guidance and programme expertise, helping Academy Muscat Swimming maintain high standards across coaching, programme development, safeguarding and swimmer progression.
Enrich ME Aquatics works in partnership with Swim England and delivers structured programmes covering Learn to Swim, community lessons and competitive swimming pathways. This experience supports the development of a high-quality swimming programme created specifically for the Cheltenham Muscat community.
